Antique English Octagonal Bamboo Tripod Cricket Table

£80.00Price

A really nice and unusual example of its type in good condition. It is classic bamboo in a desirable octagonal shape. It is untouched with original screws as you can see. It has a very good original woven grass finish on the top. I have seen tables very similar to this by the noted English maker WF Needham from around the late 19th to early 20th centuy. This one has NO makers mark on it, as far as I could see,  but is of similar good quality. I believe this one to be late Victorian which would be great for those of you who love this era or the Steam Punk vibe. Tables like this were called cricket tables because the tripod legs were very stable and the light weight design meant it was practical for use outdoors. So you could use yours for a vintage high tea or a nice G&T while you watch your local cricket team on a sunny Sunday afternoon. This lovely little table would also be perfect as a wine table, lamp table or side table. It's a sweet little peice and would fit in almost anywhere and if you have a particularly small house or flat it would do very nicely! I like it, I hope you do too. :-) Table is 74cm high by 39cm wide
